Sharizeh Houshiary and Pip Horne. East Window, St. Martin-in-the-Fields church, London. 2008 |
Like a Vasarely bubble that has popped.
Sharizeh Houshiary's and Pip Horne's East Window (facing the dawn, welcoming the return of the light) reads like a grid interrupted. Like order disrupted (chaos leaking in). Like a weaving with a hole at the centre; a vulnerability. Like a rupture in the fabric of the known universe.
