on twirly skirts....

Release

from structure to flow.
From baskets waiting to be woven
to the whirl of the weaving.

From bird cage to bird,
to flight.

From fairy tale to fairy,
dancer to dance.

From spinning dervish,
self-propelled
and seeking

to dandelion seed
floating aimlessly
(make a wish)

to jelly fish,
luminous
in the light of its own making.

Never underestimate
the power of a twirly skirt.
